Mr James Anthony "Tony" Best

James Anthony “Tony” Best, 63, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at his home in Florence. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Highland Home, AL. Mr. Best was born in Troy, AL to James and Mary Best. He was an avid golfer and University of Alabama fan who enjoyed fishing and loved his children and grandchildren. Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Mary White Best. He is survived by his father, James Best of Highland Home, AL; sons, Nathan Best of Pearl and Troy Best of Flowood; daughters, Jamye Best of Pearl, Brooke (Tony) O’Hair of Florence, Brandi Cherry of Prattville, AL, and Jenifer Isbell of Alexander City, AL; sisters, Connie (Doug- Deceased) Martin of Atlanta, GA, Jessica (Stevie- Deceased) Grace of Holtville, AL; and Tammy (Jeff) Dolan of Prattville, AL; and grandchildren, Sydney O’Hair, Cooper O’Hair, Bayleigh Cherry, Christian Cherry, Mackenzie Cherry, Brandon Welcher, Lexi Welcher, Nicholas Chase, and Joshua Urbanski.
