James Baker, Sr.

James "Jim" Edgar Baker, Sr., 50, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 as results of an automobile accident. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Rosemont Gardens.\ \ Jim was a graduate of Clinton High School and a member of Southside Assembly of God Church in Jackson. He was a volunteer for the Cleary and Florence Voluntary Fire Departments as fireman and EMT. He was a former fire chief for the Cleary Voluntary Fire Department. He was the part owner of Cleary Grocery.\ \ Jim was preceded in death by his father, James "Jimmy" Baker; and son, James "Jimmy" Edgar Baker, Jr. \ \ He is survived by his wife, Shirley Baker; son, Landon Baker; daughter, Lyn Warren (Jon); five grandchildren; parents, Bill and Linda Harvey; sisters, Wanda Ward (Mike), Melissa Luckett (Chris), Ginger Harvey, and Beth Todd; daughter-in-law Kim Bridges Baker; special aunt and uncle, Ed and Laverne Vail; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.\
