Mr. James Arleigh Butler

James Arleigh Butler was born February 6, 1922 and went to his rest at Baptist Health Center in Jackson, MS on January 4, 2016 at the age of 93. A private burial service will be held at Wesleyanna Cemetery. A resident of Florence, he had a plumbing business in Jackson many years ago. The last 35 years of his working life, he was employed by Honeywell Corporation. “Jim”, as he was known by family and many friends, was a member of College Drive Seventh- day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Fate Butler; mother, Mertie Butler; and sister, Sylvia Muse. James Arleigh is survived by his wife of 71 years, Sybil Butler; daughter, Dianne Butler Kroll of Arden, NC; son, Bill Butler of Pearl; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
