Mr. James Curtis Sills

James "Curtis" Sills, 50, of Florence passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with Bro Eddie Woods Officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Pinola. A Native of Jackson, Curtis lived back in Florence for the past 8 years. He was a self employed roofer for the past 35 years and was a huge Elvis fam. He enjoyed cooking, flea markets, and watching movies. He is preceded in death by his father James Larry Sills, Jr. and his brother Candy Sills. Curtis is survived by his sons John ( Jennifer) Sills of Southaven and Joseph Sills of Florence; his daughter Jackie Sills of Florence; his step daughter Jessica Lawson of Florence; His Mother Renna Sills of Florence; a brother Chance (Heather) Sills of Florence; sisters Debbie (Dale) Williamson of Brandon and Penny (Roy) Paul of Florence and two grandchildren John and Stella Sills. Pallbearers will be Joshua Hobock, Trey Callender, Jeff Gordon, Chance Sills, Brandon VanDevender.
