James Doster

James Robert Doster, 65 died Friday February 12, 2010 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday February 15, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be at 11am Tuesday February 16, 2010 at the funeral home with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park. \ Mr. Doster was born in Vaiden, MS a son of the late Ben and Mamie Lee Self Doster. He served in the U.S. Army and was a deputy sheriff for Hinds County before joining the Mississippi State Capital Police where he served for over 25 years. He loved to work in his yard and build model cars. One of his favorite past times was spending time with his dogs. \ Survivors include his wife Nadine Doster of Florence. Son, Steven Wayne Doster of Indiana. Daughter, Shannon Rose Derrick and her husband Jeremy Lee Derrick of Florence. Brother Frank Gant of Indianola, MS. Sisters, Katherine Goldstein of California. Bobbie Finnegan of Richland and Bennie Giompoletti of Cleveland, MS.\ Grandchildren, Dylan Lee Derrick, Peanut Derrick and Tyler Lee Derrick. \ He was preceded in death by a son James Brent Doster
