Mr. James Earl Fuqua passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at his home in Byram, MS. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, November 23rd from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Lakewood South.
James was born March 9, 1956, in Phenix City, Alabama to Kenneth Earl and Myra Jean Fuqua. His family moved to Jackson soon after he was born, where he attended Forrest Hill High School. He worked as a forklift parts salesman for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time working in his yard, planting flowers, and cutting grass. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and had attended several races. He was a music lover, especially classic rock-n-roll and blues. James was a proud father and adored spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his nephew, Clayton Fuqua.
He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Fuqua (Laura) of Madison and Josh Fuqua (Kelly) of Brandon; brothers, Eugene Fuqua and Rodney Fuqua (Cindy); sister, Regina Powell (Thomas); his grandchildren, Mason, Caroline, Ava, and Caleb Fuqua; nephews, Logan, Landon, and Ryan Fuqua and Thomas Powell; and niece, Kelly Fuqua Yarbrough.
