James Grubbs

James Grubbs,81 , died Monday, December 28, 2009 at his home in Byram. Visitation will be 12noon- until the 2pm funeral service, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Mendenhall City Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Grubbs was born June 13, 1928 in Mendenhall, MS to Ancy Lee and Lillie Mason Grubbs. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and a retired supervisor at South Central Bell after 37 years of service. Mr. Grubbs was a member of Telephone Pioneers of American and Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church.\ \ Survivors include his wife of 56 years Betty Grubbs of Byram; son Lee Grubbs of Brandon; daughters, Beverly Bowers of Clinton and Joyce Williams of Mendenhall; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.\ \ Memorials may be made to C.A.R.A. or M.A.R.L. \
