Mr. James Harris

Mr. James A. Harris, 70, of Raymond, passed away January 8, 2016 in Vicksburg. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2016 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram and will continue Tuesday at 10:00 a.m until service time. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram location. Burial will follow at Raymond Cemetery. Mr. Harris was a life long resident of Raymond and attended Byram Baptist Church. He was born June 23, 1945 to Robert F. Harris and Ruby Inez Herran Harris. He retired after 36 years as an instructor of Electronics at Hinds Community College. He was currently employed as service manager of Revell Hardware of Byram. Mr. Harris was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and a member of VFW Post #687. Mr. Harris is survived by his son Greg (Shannon) Harris of Raymond; two grandchildren, Taylor Harris and Michael Harris; his fiancé, Cynthia Jordan of Raymond; and one sister, Betty Breland of Picayune.
