Mr. James Thomas Harvey

James Thomas Harvey, 66, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his home in Star. Visitation will be Friday, May 30th from 10 am until 11am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A Graveside Service will follow in the Garden of Memories. Mr. Harvey was born and raised in Mize, MS and was a resident of Star for the past 45 years. He was a graduate of Hinds Community College in Raymond and a Member of the U.S. Army and a Vietnam Veteran. He was employed with Siemens for 35 years. Mr. Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Willie Mae Harvey; brothers, Barley and Dennis Harvey; and sisters, Louri McMillian and Betty Jean Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Jewel Harvey of Star; daughter, Brecca Lynn (Mark) Hoffman of Florence; brother, Jimmy Dale (Carol) Harvey of Brandon; and 3 grandchildren, Breanna, Gabby, and Emily Grace Hoffman; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
