Mr. James W. Henry Sr.

James William Henry, Sr. passed away at St. Dominic’s Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi on August 10, 2017. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with a graveside service immediately following at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pearl, MS. James was born on November 25, 1936 to James and Barbara Henry. He retired as a lieutenant for Jackson Fire Department after 28 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the BMW motorcycle owners of America, a NRA outdoor pistol sharpshooter, member of National Skeet Shooting Association and proudly served as a United States Marine. He had a deep love for motorcycles and firearms. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Barbara Worth Crabtree Henry. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine Henry of Jackson, son James Henry, Jr., of McComb, daughter, Kathy Henry of Jackson, sister, Joan (Glen) Beasley of Georgetown, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
