JAMES RICHARD “BOOGIE” HOWELL WAS A FRIEND TO EVERYONE HE MET. HE LEFT THIS WORLD SUDDENLY ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2021 AT AGE 54. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FOR VISITATION ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2021 AT JESUS NAME TABERNACLE FROM 9:00 A.M. UNTIL 11:00 A.M. THE SERVICE WILL BEGIN AT 11:00 A.M. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT JESUS NAME TABERNACLE’S GARDEN OF MEMORIES. HE WAS BORN TO RICHARD HOWELL AND NANCY WOODY HOWELL ON FEBRUARY 15, 1967 IN BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA. BOOGIE WAS A MASTER CARPENTER, AND HAD A TALENT FOR FIXING JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. HE LOVED HIS FAMILY, HIS FRIENDS, AND WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP ANYONE IN NEED. ANYONE WHO KNEW BOOGIE WAS TOUCHED BY HIS HUMOR AND INFECTIOUS PERSONALITY. HE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FATHER, RICHARD HOWELL. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS DAUGHTER, ASHLEIGH HOWELL, HIS MOTHER, NANCY WOODY HOWELL, HIS SISTERS, PEGGY (REV. MAX) SMITH, SUZETTE JOHNSON, AND KATHY HOWELL. BOOGIE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HIS BROTHER, SHAWN HOWELL, CHAUNCEY (BECKY) FONVILLE AND A HOST OF EXTENDED FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
