Mr. James M. "Stonewall" Jackson

Florence, Mississippi resident Jimmy “Stonewall” Jackson, 83, died at 5:15 am on February 12, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. The funeral service will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm on Saturday February 15th, visitation will start at 11:00 am. Jimmy worked for the Department of Transportation in Mississippi as a roadway draftsman. In his leisure time,“Stoney” loved playing the steel guitar around local venues. The community will miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Vickie Jackson; his children and their spouses, Sherry A. Jackson, Phillip and Jerrie Lynn Jackson, and Phoebe and Jeff Rogers; four grandsons, Scott Jackson, Jared Rogers, Joshua Rogers and Kenneth and Kacie Hooks; his two great-grandchildren, and his Sister Katherine “Kitty” Ifkovits of Tucson, AZ.
