Mr. James Albert Johnson

James Albert Johnson, 73, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 in Richland. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18th from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, November 19th from 2 PM until the 3 PM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was Primitive Baptist all of his life but attended Calvary Baptist Church in Macon. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He lived his life around other people and he never met a stranger. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Rainer Johnson; his parents, Barney Newell Johnson and Lora Dee Johnson; and his sister, Virginia Malone. He is survived by his wife, Carol Johnson of Macon; his children, Clifton (Lucia) Johnson of Bogata, South America, Christie (Keith) Sims of Star, Mayoung McClendon of Richland and Viorley Donald of Florence; son-in-law, Jim McClendon; siblings, Bonnie Roberts (Acey, his best friend) of Florence, Horace (Charlotte) Johnson of Carthage, Troy Fern Ray of Pearl, and Keith Johnson of Pearl; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grand children.
