Mr James "Wayne" Jones

James Wayne Jones, 73, a resident of Terry, MS, died Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 5-8, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be held in the chapel Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11:00 with visitation starting at 10 followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial in Clinton. Mr. Jones was born on April 23, 1945, to the late Ted and Jean Jones. He attended Brandon High School and was the owner and founder of Maintenance Suppliers and Jones Farm Trucking. He was a member of Leavell Woods lodge #620 Master Mason, Jackson Scottish rite 32nd degree and Wahabi Temple Shriner. He is preceded in death by his father Ted Jones, mother Jean Jones, and brother Jerry Jones. Survivors include: Son Danny (Melissa) Jones of Raymond and their children Tori and Dakota, Daughter Shannon Dalton (Bob) of Byram and their children Jase, Ceilidh, Ryder, and Saylor. Brother Frank Jones (Jan) of Brandon, Sister Carolyn Slade (Bill) of Florence and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations can be made to the Shriner’s Children Hospital Fund at Wahabi Shriners.
