James Richard Jones,83 , passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at Regency Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Saturday, June 13, 2009, 2-5pm Sunday and 9-10am Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral service will begin at 10am Monday followed by interment in Lakewood South.\ \ Mr. Jones was a native of Grenada County, born in Gore Springs, MS on February 14, 1926. He had lived in Terry since 1975, coming from Jackson. A retired mechanic and truck driver, Mr. Jones most recently escorted wide and heavy loads.\ \ He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Jane Jones and son, Bobby Joe Jones.\ Survivors include his sons, Billie Jean Jones (Dorothy Elizabeth) of Tulsa, OK, Jimmie Leon Jones (Dorothy Nell) of Fairview, TN; daughter, Faye Woods (Ricky Lee) of Terry; sister, Jimmie Lou Carpenter of Pearl; best friends, Sonny Beavers and Ron Weese; 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.\ \ On line guest book at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
