James Lum

James N. Lum, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 9:00am until the 11:00am funeral service Friday, September 2, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Byram followed by interment at the church cemetery. Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram handling arrangements.\ \ Mr. Lum had lived in Florence since 1985, having come from Jackson where he retired as a Supervisor from the City of Jackson. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Lum loved gardening and was a member of First Baptist Church of Byram.\ \ He is preceded in death by his son Alton Ray Lum and grandson Cory Bass.\ Survivors include his wife of 26 years Rita Lum of Florence; son Darrell (Susan) Bass of Raymond; daughters Angie (Joel) Dodson, Michelle (Larry) Byrd all of Terry and Lisa Dupree of Ocean Springs; sisters Alice Kemp, Patricia Lum, Genoria Thornton, Nell Myers and Bonnie Beckham; grandchildren Tanner & Tyler Dodson, Emily Lum, Jennifer Dupree, Rebecca, Kristin & Jason Byrd, Katie...
