James Mccraw

Mr. James C. McCraw, 74 of Jackson, passed away October 2, 2008 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday October 3 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with funeral services are 10am Saturday, with burial following at Lakewood South.\ \ James, a retired teacher in the Jackson School System, was born and raised in Scott County. He was a graduate of Clifton High School, East Central community College in Decatur and Mississippi State University. He held two master degrees, one in Industrial Arts and the other in Administration. Mr. McCraw served in France with the U.S. Army during peacetime and was active in his church as long as his health permitted.\ \ He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Nancy McCraw, his sister, Ann Lewis, of Jackson; his brother, Roy McCraw, of Byram; three nieces, one nephew and several great nieces and nephews.\ \
