Mr. James “Pop” Paul Miller, 81, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22nd from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Mr. Miller was a longtime resident of Florence. He loved to fish, watch westerns and do yard work. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a gentle giant. Pop is a great role model for being a father and a husband. Nobody came before his family, not even himself. All who knew him loved him and he will be greatly missed. Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Josie Miller; a daughter, Tina Malone and 2 grandbabies, Summer and Winter Parfait. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jean Woods Miller; sons, Allen (Eva) Parfait of Florence and D’Kota Parfait Miller of Florence; daughters, Linda (Jesse) Brown of Vancleve, MS; sister, Lois Smith of Richland; 3 grandchildren, Jeannie Jones, Dewayne Brown and Darren Brown; and 3 great grandchildren; and a furbaby named “GG”.
