James Parker\ Pearl\ \ James Oliver Parker, 66, died Saturday, April 09, 2011 at his home. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday, April 10, 2011 and 1-2pm Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the East Morton Baptist Church Cemetery.\ \ James served in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for Bell South for over 31 years. A talented musician, he played at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and played guitar for his church, Lifeline Baptist Church. \ \ He was a man that gave 110% at everything he did. He will be remembered as an honest, hardworking and respected by all who knew him. Most importantly, he was family man. He loved and was dedicated to his family and very respected by all. \ \ James was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Parker and brother, Homer Allen Parker. \ \ He is survived by his wife, Faye Parker, of Pearl; son, Kaleb Harvey of Pearl; daughter, Tina Parker of Jackson; sister, Della McCue of McComb; grandchildren, Chris Mack, Jenny Mitchell, Tiffany Bracey, Michael Marsh, and Matthew Carter; and great grandchildren, Mikkah Mack, Mason Mack, and Rebecca Mitchell.\ \
