James Burnell Round, Sr., 97, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at MS Veteran’s Home in Collins. Visitation will be Saturday, October 17th from 2-3 p.m. with service to follow at Decatur United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery. Mr. Round retired after 32 years at the VA Hospital in Jackson. He was an avid gardener that no one beat at growing tomatoes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing while he was able to do so. He loved spending time with his family. Church was very important to him and he attended Noxapater Baptist Church as long as his health allowed him. Mr. Round was predeceased by his wives, Arcenia “Cenia” Round and Hazel Young Round; daughter, Anna Frances Fryant; and 4 siblings. He is survived by his son; James B. Round “Jimmy” (Susan) of Florence; grandchildren, Steven Fryant (Traci), Lindsay R. French (Trey), James Fryant (Lindsey), Brett Round (Suzanah), and Anna Fryant; and 12 great grandchildren.
