James F. Ward

James Franklin Ward died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The service will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with burial following in Palestine Cemetery.\ \ James worked at Surplus City for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to work with his animals on the farm. \ \ James was preceeded in death by his wife, Ann Ward.\ \ Survivors include son, Freddie Ward (Stacy) Arkansas; daughters, Mellette Douglas (Bobby) of Brandon, Jodie Hedgepeth (Mickey) of Florence, Susie Lee (Sean) of Southaven; four step-children, David Jeffery, Sylvia McPhail, Mike Jones, Keith Jones; brother, Allen Ward (Libby) of Harrisville; sister, Etta Mae McNay of Harrisville, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.\ \
