James L. Stingley Jr.

James Luther Stingley Jr., 87, died Saturday January 3, 2009 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held Tuesday January 6th from 5-8 pm, with funeral services Wednesday January 7th at 10am in the Chancellor Funeral Home Chapel in Byram. Interment will follow in Palestine Baptist Church cemetery. \ \ Mr. Stingley was born in Pelahatchie, MS to James Luther and Ollie Leatha Sheppard Stingley Sr. on November 5, 1921. He lived most of his life in the Raymond area, and was a service man for Entergy.\ \ Survivors include his wife Patricia Stingley, sons J.L. Stingley III and Patrick Lindsey Stingley: five daughters Jimmie King, Ann Brown, Jean Stingley , Barbara Upton, and Belinda Lynchard: 14 grandchildren: and numerous great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries\ or the American Heart Assoc., or the American Diabetes Assoc.\
