James Richard Martin

James Richard Martin, 70, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Jackson on Monday, July 11, 2011. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13 from 5-8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home Chapel with burial following at Overstreet Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Martin was a member of Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Florence. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for Howell Printing Co. as a Printing Press Operator for over 25 years. He Loved to fish, gospel music, and spending time with his grandchildren. Nothing was more important to him than God.\ \ He is survived by his son, Todd Martin (Cindy) of Florence; daughter, Susan Culpepper (Ernie) of Star; brother, Rev. Charles Moore of Florence; and five grandchildren, Chris Martin, Brandon Martin, Tyler Martin, Laramie Mitchell and Blake Martin.\
