James T. McCoy, Sr.

James Thomas McCoy, Sr., 77, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Pleasant Hills Nursing Home in Jackson. Visitation will be 12:30pm until the 1:30pm funeral service Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery.\ \ Mr. McCoy was born in Pontotoc, MS to the late Thomas and Ruth McCoy. He retired from the City of Jackson, where he worked in maintenance. Mr. McCoy was and avid Atlanta Braves fan, enjoyed working in the garden and playing dominos.\ \ Survivors include his wife Marilyn McCoy and son James McCoy, Jr., both of Jackson; daughter, Martha Ann Black (Michael) of Jackson; sisters Dorothy Nell Tiffany, Cathy Webb, Judy Ann and Augusta Rainey; grandchildren Amber Nicole Black and Levi Daniel Black.\
