Ms. Janet "Jan" Marie Summerlin - Smith

Janet “Jan” Marie Summerlin Smith, 63, of Florence, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 surrounded by her family. Jan was born July 18, 1958 in Jackson, MS. She was a loving mother to her two daughters and a devoted sister to her two brothers. Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Ida “Ruth” Summerlin and by her father, James “Red” Summerlin. She is survived by her two daughters, Misty Collins and Jamie Welch, both of Florence; one grandson, Gavin Collins; and two brothers, Mike Summerlin of Florence and Todd Summerlin of Clinton. All friends and family are invited to participate in a Celebration of Life Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., memorial visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
