Gwendolyn Janette “Net” Brunson, 74, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2016 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 10-11am Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Terry with funeral services at 11am at the church. Burial will follow at Terry Cemetery. Born in Madden, MS to Lavon and Opal White Peoples, Mrs. Brunson had been a long time resident of Terry. She has been employed with the Lafayette County Youth Court in Oxford, Merrill Lynch, Region II Mental Health in Oxford, Charter Hospital in Jackson and was currently co-owner of Brunco Trucking. Mrs. Brunson was a faithful member of First Baptist of Terry where she had taught Sunday school and served in the nursery. Her best achievement was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan, attending their sporting events and helping and supporting them from behind the scenes at the Mississippi Western Horse Show Association. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jimmy Peoples. She is survived by the love of her life, Murl Brunson, her husband of 55 years, her son Steve Brunson and wife Katrina, her grandchildren, Taylor and Camdyn Brunson, her sister, Pat Brunson all of Terry, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
