Mrs. Janis Cheatham

Janis Bragg Cheatham, 68, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at her home in Jackson. Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Memorial Park Cemetery in Meridian. Visitation will be held 10am-11am Thursday December 4, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mrs. Cheatham was born in Meridian, MS in 1946. She was a member of the former Woodville Heights Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her grandchild dearly. Mrs. Cheatham was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ross Cheatham, Jr, and her father, Robert Lester Bragg. She leaves behind her mother, Myrtle Bragg Brown of Meridian, her only child Chesnee Wallace (Randy) of Raymond, and one sister Joyce Giles of Meridian, and granddaughter Raney Ross Wallace.
