Mrs Jannie Alderman Bridges

Jannie Alderman Bridges, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be Friday, January 24th from 9 AM until the 11:30 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A Private family burial will be at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Jannie Belle, also known as Gran Gran, was the life of the party. She had a smile and a sassy way about her that would light up a room. An avid water skier and world traveler, she loved her family, shopping, and her dog “Benji”. She could be considered a part time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast given the many days she spent on “The Wild Goose” in Biloxi and trips to the islands. She will be remembered for her contagious, bubbly personality, a sassy flare and for being a very proud wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Bridges is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Bridges; her father, Edward Alderman and her stepfather, Bob Brooks. She is survived by her mother, Nell Dennis Brooks; her son, David (Beverly) Bridges of Florence; her daughter, Becky (Rocky) Meadows of Ocean Springs; 4 grandchildren, Ashley (Byron) Allred, Amber (Brandon) Synesael, Adrienne Bridges, and Brooke Bridges; and 4 great grandchildren, Anna Kate, Gabby Claire, Brooks and Lainey Belle.
