Jay Belk, 35, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at River Oaks Hospital surrounded by a host of family and friends.\ \ Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services will be 10am Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be 1pm at Pine Grove Church of God Cemetery in Neshoba County. Dr. Frank Thomas, Rev. Glynn Pope, and Rev. Sim Matthews will officiate the service.\ \ A lifelong resident of Byram, Jay graduated from Forest Hill High School and attended Hinds and Holmes Community Colleges. He loved riding and training horses and began riding while just a baby. Jay along with his parents were Triple B Riding Club. He was also a member of MWHSA and NBHA.\ \ He is preceded in death by his grandparents, J.P and Estelle Belk and Evelyn Russell Jones.\ \ Jay is survived by his parents, Joe and Lynda Belk, of Byram; his aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Sherri Russell of Little Rock, MS, Gerald and Dot Russell and Ed and Janice Belk, all of Neshoba County, and Ernestine Weir, of Union, and a number of cousins and host of friends.\ \
