Mrs. Jean Summers Walton

Jean Summers Walton, 75, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 24th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial at Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Walton was born April 11, 1945 in Silsbee, TX to the late Melvin and Ethel Young. She attended First Baptist Church of Richland. She was a great mother who loved her family and her church family dearly. Along with her parents, Mrs. Walton is also preceded in death by her husband, John Buckley Walton; daughters, Kellie summers Pennock and Shellie Summers Perry; and one grandson. She is survived by her son, Scott Summers of Ridgeland; stepsons, Johnny Walton of Florence and Ricky Walton of Florence; brothers, Roy (Barbara) Young of Beaumont, TX and Charles (Margaret) Young of Beaumont, TX; sisters, Evelyn Hammers of Prentiss, MS...
