Jeanette French Alexander passed from this life January 6, 2024. She was born October 1, 1935, in Jackson, MS, to Edgar French and Bessie Dunn French.
Jeanette was a florist by trade and enjoyed working with flowers. She took special care of her floral arranging for events, weddings, etc. She had a “green thumb” and was known for beautiful floral arrangements. She was always working with plants and would root all sorts of flowers.
She loved her family, pets and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and giving person and was known always giving a hug and a kiss to those she was close to. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She had a real knack for creativity in many forms.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband, Noble Wesley Alexander, Sr.; her parents and stepmother, Pamelia French; her sister, Joan McKeithen; her brother, Frank French, and daughter, Pamela Elizabeth Buckley.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Gloria Snell (Randy) of Byram; son, Noble Alexander (Joy) of Jackson; son-in-law, Tim Buckley of Ocean Springs; eight grandchildren, Courtney Bunting (Chris), Britney Miller (Marc), Blane Snell (Ashley), Lauren Jenkins (Stephen), Missy Long (Matt), Brandi Stoddard (Michael), Corey Marshal (Christy), and Allison Deschamp (David); as well as 15 great grandchildren, Caymen Alexis Bunting, Eli and Ellie Jane Miller, Kaylea, Bella, and Adalyn Jenkins, Jordan, Ashlynn, Dalona, and Keith Long, Destin Burton (Marcie), Dillian Stoddard and Wesley Roberts, and Jacob and Haley Marshall.
A visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram Friday January 19, 2024 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm and a Graveside service at 1 pm at Lakewood Pavillion at Lakewood Cemetery.
