Jeanette H. Bufkin, 74, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday the 25th of August at Central MS Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held Saturday August 28th at 9am until the 10:30 am Memorial Service at First Baptist Church of Raymond.\ \ Mrs. Bufkin was born in Utica, MS to Carson and Beaulah Hester Hargons on April 13, 1936. Having lived in Jackson for some 50 years, she was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher of the 5 year olds at Oak Forest Baptist Church. She was a 10 year volunteer at Willowood Development Center, and 3 of those years was spent driving the bus where her son attended school. Jeanette was a birth mother to three, but a second mother to all of the kids in the neighborhood. The majority of her time was spent as caregiver for her son, and many family members when needed.\ \ Mrs. Jeanette is survived by her husband Percy W. Bufkin of Jackson, three children Gwen Bufkin Parker, Carson W. Bufkin, both of Jackson, and Gretchen Marie Foster of Raymond and Five grandchildren.\ \ Memorials may be made to Sun Valley, P.O.
