Jeanette Burnett Walker, 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at her home in Raymond, MS. Visitation will be Friday, September 03, 2021 at First Pentecostal Church of Jackson, MS from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA. Born in Whitney, TX on July 07, 1927, Mrs. Walker moved to Raymond, MS from Monroe, LA in 2003. She retired from AT&T in Lake Charles, LA as a manager. She also worked for United Pentecostal Church International in St. Louis, MO where she introduced Center of Interest teaching, Word of Flame to the Sunday School Department. Jeanette loved young people. Above all, she was faithful to God and to her family. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Jackson. She is survived by her sister, Madge Inita (Billy) Mitchell; nephews, Leon and James Hickox and Glen, Chester, and Kenneth Burkhaulter and J.W. and Nelson Burnett; honorable nieces, Thetus Tenney, Becky Falls, Frances Hickox, Barbara Simmons, Linda Kay Thompson, Jo Ann Sellers, and Gene Chambers; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
