Jeanie Mitchell

Ms. Imogene "Jeanie/Beanie" Mitchell, 69, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013, with family by her side, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. \ \ Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.\ \ After graduating from nursing school in 1981, Ms. Mitchell relocated to Florence and began a compassionate and caring nursing career at Briar Hill Rest Home where she worked until her illness. She was dedicated to her calling for more than 25 years. After retirement, she moved to Pearl, MS.\ \ Ms. Mitchell is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Barbara Hutcheson and her only brother, Joe Hutcheson, all of Arizona. \ \ She is survived by her only sister and brother-in-law, Deena and Joe Hazlet of Lake Havesu, AZ; her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Dwayne Copeland of Richland, daughters, Deborah (Debi) Spell of Gulfport, and Cheryl Mitchell Sypolt of Florence; five grandsons, Ryan, Luke, and Justin Langford of Gulfport, Joseph Green and Billy Sypolt of Florence; her beloved poodle Cocoa; and many other family and friends.
