Mr. Jefferson Levi Boykin

Jefferson Levi Boykin, 78, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, with visitation from 1-2pm Saturday. A Native of Raleigh, Ms, Jeff lived most of his life in the Queen Lane area of Jackson, moving to South Jackson in 1994. He spent many years working in the glass business, 35 years of which were spent as the owner of Jeff’s Tops and Glass. Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved his family dearly. Jeff is preceded in death by his siblings; Erma Lee Roberson, Arline Thurston, Donnie Sue Skipper, and Howard Boykin. He is survived by the love of his life, Peggy Haven of Jackson; his son, Steve Boykin of Jackson; daughters, Sonia Elfeki of Jackson and Sheryl Boykin of Byram; his brother, Burl Boykin of Washington; and sisters, Lillie Chestnut of Columbus and Nonny Stearns of Brandon; two grandchildren, Mario Elfeki and Amanda Harrell; and one great grandson, Hayden Harrell.
