Mrs. Jenny Thornton

Virginia “Jenny” Kay Thornton, 52, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8th from 5-8 PM and Wednesday, April 9th from 12pm until the 1pm funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. Mrs. Thornton was a native of Carthage, raised in Durant, and lived for 30 years in Star. She was a homemaker that loved her children. Mrs. Thornton is survived by her sons, Joey Keith of Brandon, Stevens Keith of Richland, Timmy Keith of Raymond, and Thomas Anthony Keith of Richland; brothers, Billy Guy Thornton of Missouri, Charles Thornton of Durant, James Thornton of Florence, and Raymond Thornton of Pearl, sister, Annie Thornton of Pearl, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
