Jerry Lamar Blackwell

Mr. Jerry Blackwell, 71, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 9, 2017. There will be a visitation on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 11 at Mt. Creek Baptist Church in Florence with a visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Burial will be at the Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Blackwell loved his Lord and his family. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his loved ones. He was the best husband and father who always put his family ahead of himself. Mr. Blackwell was a member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church of Florence. Preceding Mr. Blackwell in death are his parents; a daughter, Melissa Marie Blackwell; and a sister, Helen Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Ouida Blackwell; daughters, Stephanie (Shannon) Webb, and Jelinda (Dwayne) Abel; a brother, Wallace (Marilyn) Blackwell; a sister, Peggy Courtney; and six grandchildren.
