Mr. Jerry Eugene Miley

Jerry Eugene Miley, 86, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the V.A. Hospital in Jackson, MS. Jerry was born March 12, 1934 to Lonnie Rushing and Bessie Hayes Miley in Smith County, MS. He owned and operated Capitol Pneumatics in Jackson. He was a very generous man who adored his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish. Along with his parents, Mr. Miley was preceded in death by his daughter, Gwen Sanders; brothers, Lonnie Rushing Miley, Jr. and James Lynn Miley; and sister, Margaritte Peterson. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sandra Miley of Magee; sons, Richard Phillips of Florence and Jimmy (Mary) Phillips of Richland; daughters, Barbara (Terry) Myers of Sumiton, AL and Melissa (Mark) Evans of Florence; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
