Mr. Jerry Eugene Nelson

Jerry Eugene Nelson, 68, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Regency Hospital in Jackson. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mr. Nelson was born in Martinsville, VA to the late Howard Wayne Nelson and Lula Virginia Hall Nelson. His profession was supervision in the furniture and woodworking industry. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wilma Dean Nelson Porter. Survivors include his wife Sharon Rose Lowe Nelson of Jackson, MS; daughter, Christina Rose Nelson Volz of Jackson, MS; brothers, Howard L. Nelson of Crystal Springs, MS, Paul D. Nelson of Lenoir, NC and Bruce L. Nelson of Gastonia, NC; granddaughters Breanna Rose Volz and Stella Jean Volz both of Jackson, MS.
