Jerry L. Day

Jerry L. Day, Sr., passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Garden of Memories.\ \ Jerry was self-employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Erwinville, LA.\ \ Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mary Day; brothers, Marvin Day, Sherman Day, and Judson Day; and sister, Betty Ruth Mullins. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Earlene "Tootie" Day of Richland; son, Jerry "Sonny" Day, Jr. (Kelly) of Florence; daughter, Wendy Day of Richland; grandchildren, Ethan, Stephanie and Sean Day; sisters, Louise Pugh of Cameron, LA and Joyce Cobern of Winona; and a host of family and friends.\ \ In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.\
