Mr. Jesse W. Jacobs, 70, died December 13, 2009 at Bedford Care Nursing Home in Mendenhall. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2009, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and 10 a.m. until the funeral services Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.\ \ Mr. Jacobs was a wonderful family man that loved his family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and camping. He was a hard worker and enjoyed everyday of his life.\ \ He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Jacobs; son, Dwayne (Debbie) Jacobs of Florence; daughters: Cindy Satterfield of Shreveport, LA, Pennye (Phil) Lewis of Florence, and Lisa Weaver of Minnesota; brothers: Roy Jacobs of Meridian, John Jacobs of Las Vegas and Ronnie Hatcher of Quitman; sisters: Barbara Thomas and Vickie Stewart both of Meridian; 8 grandchildren: Derek Jacobs, Nikki Gerald, Adam Satterfield, Hunter Lewis, Dustin Jacobs, Austin Satterfield, Dillon Lewis and Dakotah...
