Jim Lee Odom

Jimmy Lee Odom, 59, passed away on Sunday, February 08, 2015 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. There will be a visitation Wednesday, February 11, 2014 from 9am until the 11am service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories in Florence, MS. Jim was a lifelong Mississippi resident and spent the last 23 years in Florence. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Florence. He was an avid outdoorsman that particularly loved fishing, camping and gardening. He was known for his tomatoes and sunflowers. He loved his cats and his dog. He was a loving husband and father. His nieces and nephews will miss their “Uncle Bo”. He was preceded in death by his parents Julian S. and Linda Odom; sister, Jerri Hamilton. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy Odom of Florence; daughters Mandy Kohler (Russell) of Starkville and Melissa Odom of Paris, France; brother, Jamie Odom of Hartselle, Alabama; sister, Judy Temple (William) of Florence; brother-in-law, Michael Fletcher of Brandon; sister-in-law Cheryl Johnson (David) of Florence; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
