Jim Reese

Jim Randolph (Pop Jim) Reese, Sr., 90, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, May 12, 2010 and1pm until the 3pm funeral service Thursday, May 13, 2010 all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Stonewall, MS.\ \ Mr. Reese was born September 11, 1919 in Fayette, AL to Wilson Benjamin Reese and Alma Nichols Reese. He had lived in the Jackson area since 1977, having come from Vicksburg, and he was self employed in the construction business. He also was a member of the MS Blue Grass Association.\ \ Survivors include his sons, Jim Reese, Jr., Ronnie Reese, Dennis Reese and Lee Reese (Catherine); daughters, Sandra Everett Fletcher (Monty) and Peanut Smith (Billy R.); grandchildren, Lynn Hightower, Tonya and Angela Reese, Billy Reese, Jimmy Reese III, Julie Koestler, Emily Reese, Abby Reese, Sara Reese, JoAnna Reese, Jeremy Reese, Scotty Reese, and Garrett Reese.\
