Jimmy Dale Harvey

Jimmy Dale Harvey went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10, 2025, in Jackson, MS. He was 86 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with burial following in the Garden of Memories.

Jimmy was born on August 27, 1938, to Eddie Harvey and Willie Mae Hughes Harvey in Mize, MS. He was raised in Mize but has lived in Brandon for 42 years and was a member of Fairmont Bible Church in Magee, MS.

Jimmy was a proud veteran and loved his country. He served 30 years in the United States Army retiring as a Sergeant Major. He served 2 tours in Vietnam. After retirement, he was a truck driver and had led logistics with Sysco 20 plus years completing his 2nd retirement. Jimmy loved the Lord, giving his life to Him at the age of 76. He was a Christian man and a dedicated follower of Christ. He loved his church and served faithfully rarely missing a Sunday. He enjoyed galivanting, travelling, and love riding motorcycles. He and Mrs. Carrol was always travelling, eating, and would get up and go at the drop of a hat. He loved to ride.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lori Rodriguez, Edward Harvey, Betty Jean Bryant, Burley Harvey, Dennis Harvey, and James Thomas Harvey; daughter, Rebecca Beaty, and grandchildren, Zack Hovel, Thomas Harvey, and Ashley Overstreet. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carrol Harvey of Brandon; children, Raymond Harvey (Trish) of Florence, Kathy Hovel of Pearl, Annette Harvey of D’Lo, Terrance Harvey of California, Daneen Menke (Walter) of Ocean Springs, and Annette Menke of Arizona; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
