Jimmy Royce Munn, 67, died Friday, April 10th, 2015 peacefully at home with his family in Terry. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday April 13th, 2015 in the chapel at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Rev. David Plunkett will officiate the service. Jimmy was born August 17th, 1947 in Morton, Mississippi. He grew up in Jackson, graduating from Central High School in 1965 that same year he won a Golden Gloves Boxing State Championship. With great pride he served his country in the Army reserves for 7 years. He had been a resident of Terry since 1995. His church home was Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Byram. Well regarded and respected by the business community as a longtime business associate of Munn Mobile Homes in Pearl, Johnson Homes based out of Meridian and Camper Kingdom in Star, business was second to the friendships he made. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey D. Munn; mother Mabel Earlene Munn; sister, Margret Morris and brother, Harvey D. Munn, Jr. It was his family and friends that were considered his greatest joy. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dian Munn of Terry; daughter, Angela (Charley) Jones of Madison; son, Todd (Mary) Munn of Lillian, Alabama; daughter, Karen (Garrett) Comeaux of San Antonio, Texas; and his sisters, Brenda (Kenny) Phillips of Brandon and Mitzi (Jeff) Evans of Mendenhall. Grandchildren; Nate Munn, Sam Munn, Daniel Munn, Abby Comeaux, Audrey Comeaux, Anderson Comeaux, Alex Jones, Gabe Jones and Olivia Jones.
