Jimmy Roberts

Mr. James Orlan Roberts, Jr., 59, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11th from 5-8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Friday from 9am until the 10 am service in the Chapel with burial following at Clear Branch Cemetery.\ \ A native of Jackson, Mr. Roberts has called Florence his home for the last 32 years. He was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church, a long time member of the Local 406 Labor Union and a retired Sheet Metal Fabricator by profession. He loved the outdoors and motorcycling. He will be remembered as a "simple man" who loved, supported, and encouraged his wife, children, grandchildren, and their friends. \ \ Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his father, J.O. Roberts, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tina Roberts of Florence; his mother, Helen Roberts of Jackson; his son Justin and wife Holly Roberts of Florence; his daughters, Lindsey and husband Stacy Johnson of Woodstock, GA, and Stacy McLendon of Florence; sisters, Linda Bounds of Jackson and Faye Ainsworth of Cumming, GA; and six grandchildren, Haylee "Peaches", Ally "Peanut", Clint "Spider", Helen Grace "Button", Hunner "Cotton" and Brannon "Bobo".\
