Jimmy Wayne Wilson, Jr., 54, entered the gates of heaven on October 24, 2024. He was born on May 11, 1970, in Jackson, MS, to Jimmy “Jimbo” Wayne Wilson, Sr. and Ina Paulette Bishop Wilson.
He loved being owner and operator of the family business Lawn Care and working with his dad, family and friends at Wilson Brace and Limb. His hobbies included watching westerns, spending time with his family, camping, and getting into any shenanigans he could find. In fact, he loved Halloween, practical jokes, and picking on everyone he knew. He is infamously remembered for his Walmart prank known as a “white trash bash,” where his wife Ms. Stacey was, let’s just say, very surprised. If you knew Bodacious, you knew.
To know him was to love him. While he could be hardheaded and stubborn, his heart was forever drawn to family gatherings and attending church at Clear Branch Baptist Church. He could fix or build anything just by looking at it. He was a father to anyone and adored by his wife of thirty years and the love of his life, Stacey Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Paulette Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Dabbs Wilson of Florence and his father, Jimmy “Jimbo” Wayne Wilson, Sr., of Florence. He also leaves behind his siblings Dianne Wilson Phillips (Andy) and Micki Wilson Corley (Terry); his children Lydia Wilson Stingley (Dylan), Madelin Wilson, and Jimmy Wayne Wilson III; and his grandchild Zayzlee Rae Stingley.
A graveside honoring Jimmy Wayne Wilson, Jr. will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at Clear Branch Cemetery in Florence, MS.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Clear Branch Baptist Church.
