J'Linda Hardwick, 39 died suddenly at UMC, Monday, January 17, 2011. Visitation will be Friday, January 21 from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Celebration of her life will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with interment following at Mt. Creek Cemetery.\ \ J'Linda Reshea was born February 18, 1971 in Natchez to the late Jimmy Edward Rodgers of Marks and Linda Massengill of Florence. She was a 1989 graduate of Brandon High School. J'Linda had a very unique name that matched her extraordinary personality which molded her into that "special" woman that she was.\ She was a licensed esthetician and cosmologist, a career chosen to help people have self -confidence by making them look and feel good.\ \ Her only son, Jonathan Abel, 11 was the love of her life. She talked about him to everyone. Riding on the back of her husband's Harley with the wind rushing through her hair was a joy for her and a wonderful way to experience the Lord's beauty of creation. \ \ She will be remembered mostly by her warm/loving embraces, her blue eyes and her beautiful smile that lit up a room. The smile and hug that will be remembered forever was the one that occurred Monday when she reunited with her "daddy" in Heaven.\ \ She was preceded in death by her "daddy", Jimmy Edward Rodgers; paternal grandfather, Son Rodgers and maternal grandparents, John and Bobby Loflin and baby Rodgers that will meet it's aunt Jay for the first time.\ \ She leaves behind her husband, Nick Hardwick of Star; son, Jonathan Abel of Florence; mother, Linda (Jimmy) Massengill of Florence; brothers, Jason (Tina) Rodgers of Memphis and Jamie (Lisa) Rodgers of Collins; step-sons: Ryan and Chad Hardwick; grandmother, Sadie Rodgers of Hurley, nephews: Jordan and Peyton Rodgers; nieces: Meg and Hart Rodgers; grandson, Nicholas Hardwick; and a very large and close extended family and friends.\ \ A fund has been set up by her family for her son, the Jonathan Abel Benefit Fund, at any Regions Bank.
