Mrs. Jo-Ann Trimm Plaster

Jo-Ann Trimm Plaster, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. A Graveside service will be Monday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Star Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 30th from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Mrs. Plaster was born December 17, 1935 to James and Mildred Trimm. She loved to travel and enjoyed music, dancing, playing scrabble and solving crossword puzzles. Education was very important to her. She worked as a Postal Clerk in Braxton before advancing to Postmaster at Piney Woods County Life school. She was an award-winning Editor of the MS National League of Postmasters Newsletter. Mrs. Plaster is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Harris Plaster; brothers, Ronald Trimm and James Trimm, Jr. She is survived by her son, Dan Plaster of Star; daughter, Helen (Mark) Andrews of Braxton; brothers, James (Beth) Trimm of N. C. and Robert (Nanci) Trimm of KY; grandchildren, Ryane (Byron) Doty, Dawn (Darrell) Martin and Michael Andrews; 3 great grandsons; and a host of Nieces and nephews.
