Mrs. Jo Ann Roberts

Jo Ann Roberts, 68, died Saturday, June 01, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South. Jo Ann was born in Tylertown on November 17, 1944 to Joe and Evelyn Simmons. She lived most of her life in south Jackson. Jo Ann worked several years as an underwriter for Grain Dealers Mutuals. She was most known for selling Avon for 27 years. She enjoyed meeting her customers. She was a member of First Baptist Church Byram where she was active part of the Sister’s Sunday School Class. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lilian Shockey; and brother, Raymond Simmons. She is survived by her husband, John Roberts, Sr. of Jackson; son, John Roberts, Jr. of Jackson; daughter, Pamela Stingley of Richland; and grandchildren, Marilyn Roberts and Conner Stingley.
